Last 3 months of Horse Magazine has been following the progress of Molly Aaron Holmes as she sets off for her first ever side saddle show having been riding side saddle for 2 weeks!
Her Godmother and trainer, Ginny Oakley, is delighted to have been asked to do this Master Class for Horse Magazine.
Jane Bird, another pupil of Ginny's, won the Novice and was third in the Concours de Elegance at the same show.
Katie Gulliver is an RDA rider who suffers from learning difficulties and has only partial sight. Always up for a challenge, Katie decided to try her hand at Side Saddle riding in November 2010.
So far Katie has been placed 5th at the Chiltern and Thames dressage finals in the Intro Test and has also been selected to go forward to the qualifying rounds that could take her to the Special Olympics. Katie has also qualified for the RDA Championship finals at Hartbury in July.
Ginny's horse, Holme Park Saumur (better known as Mr Puff), is one of the horses featured in the Cosequin Adverts, both of whom are indebted to the product for helping Mr Puff with his creaky bits!
